Thank you Sara for posting this. To me "closure" means you are supposed to forget or hide away all memories as if your loved one never existed. It means bottling up feelings instead of naturally working through them ... as if feelings and memories...
I think closure is good when you are looking for a loved one and they are no longer with us. It is a word too often used as though it is a good thing. It is only marginally better than not knowing. Rather than closure we should perhaps accept that...
I have a confession to make.
I hate the word closure
when connected with the loss of a loved one.
You know what I mean --
a spouse, a sibling, a friend dies.
Weeks later there are those who want to know
when the bereaved will find closure.

Stephanie, everyone above has expressed so eloquently what needed to be said. There are no words that can take away what you feel. Please just know that there are many who stand here ready to support you and pray that you will find your peace soon.
