How to Make A Quality Duct Tape Wallet

Wallets made with duct tape are a dime-a-dozen (we've covered them once or twice before). But since times are tough, and they also make for functional alternatives to traditional wallets, this latest DIY attempt is worth sharing.

A do-it-yourself-er at web site Instructables says the pictured wallet can be constructed in around 30 minutes. To build one, the author recommends choosing a quality duct tape to help ensure the wallet stays together longer. It's also important to have credit cards and dollar bills at-the-ready to gauge how large the wallet should be. Apart from that, you'll need a few basic household tools and your basic measuring, cutting, and folding skills.

The duct tape wallet could prove useful if, say, you're looking to travel and want to carry around a disposable cheap wallet instead of your primary one (maybe you're making your mugger's wallet before a vacation), and you've got the time and inclination to build, not buy. At its core though, the duct tape wallet remains a simple, fun DIY project to try out if ever you're so inclined.
