Place to share, check in daily...it's a thread that never ends... ;)
We need someplace to share too, right? Apparently we can't depend on ning chat all of the time to step up in that area, lol...I for the life of me cannot get anything to post there...
So...how have you all been today? Anything to fill us in on, share, laugh about, vent over, etc?
Hello All:
Well I dont know if a lot of you experience this but I have been very down the last couple of days and just want to give up searching and hoping! I just want off the ride for a little while. I know I will get back in the game as I always do but sometimes it is just harder than other times....
Angie I am sorry for your loss and the pain of not knowing... I was given a necklace by a woman in NC at the conference with the word PUSH on it. She was given the necklace from her daughter and took it off to give to me. What a blessing it was to me. I wrote her and told her that I am going to keep it until I find my mom and then I will give it to her. I will pray that you find your mom and have the ability to have a ceremony that honors her life! The DNA testing is so slow I have been waiting for 5 months now. But every case is different from what I have heard. My prayers are with you and your family. I can relate to the emptiness when your mom is taken but all my life I have also felt her strength! I will pray that you will feel your mom spirit in your life!
To Findmywayhome...It's ok to vent and we all need a break before we go completly nuts !!Sometimes the burden becomes too much to bear and we have to take a step back and recouperate for a little while.Afterwards you'll be back to your old self ,searching and hopeing again,You must make some "ME"time for yourself. That's something your loved ones would want you to do. To Sara and everyone else..Hi ..I LOVE YOU !! You guys do such tremendous work and have hearts of gold. You're now my extended family and I want to thank you very much for allowing me to be your friend. In a couple of weeks they have to "Rotter Rooter" my right cartoid artery so say a little prayer. Thanks Sara for making this.I could NEVER get on chat !! LOL..LOL.."BIG HUGS..ALWAYS..john
Thanks so much John... You really seem to know... I have had so much encouraging news in the last few weeks that I even felt guilty about getting down and being tired from searching... I guess its all part of this life... I like to stay upbeat and positive but need to find the space for ME when I get down and discouraged... Thanks again and I will be praying for your speedy recovery ...
Been a pretty good day, got alot accomplished. Had a lengthy conversation last night with a woman in CT who is pushing for a missing person bill there, very smilar to Wisconsin Becky Kraemer Act and Michigans proposed Mary Denise Lands Bill. Her, Karren kraemer and I are all going to help each other as needed to help make these laws happen.
I was also contacted by another family, they really need a support group and of course I thought of peace4. They are also from West Michigan and have a missing loved missing in Michigans U.P..
I have also had some additional people inform me of receiving the email scam. Sent out an email to Michigan's entire Legislation, most tv news outlets, news papers and multiple other missing person programs across the Country. If nothing else around 180 people in some tye of position to do something about it now know it exists. You never know where your help will come from, you never get a yes if you never ask.
Best of all I got to spend time with my kids tonight.
I am, too, Maureen. I am so disappointed that I had to work and miss the ceremony. Now I know how you feel about missing blogtalk radio shows, only moreso! :(
Thanks Delilah if people just go on her website and fill something out maybe it will spike their interest. As we know from the families the memories are like it was yesterday! No number of years will take it all away...
Maureen once you get me vo...
My prayers are on the way to our Saviour, who provides peace that passeth ALL understanding, strength & compassion beyond compare...
Blessings to you Angie & Jennifer.
OMG, FindMyWayHome I saw this and thought of you! I just envisioned you sitting there and being the one surrounded by her found family. Everyone's answers are different and some are not as good as others, some are very partial answers, but if you ...
I know someone who said she was called as a guest for Oprah because she filled out the polls and questionaires on her site. This was a while back and I don't know what's on Oprah's site now. Yes, we should send some letters about these older cases...
Rest in peace Alice you have taught us so much. Somethings we wish you did not have to teach us. Rest in peace but never to be forgotten! Your life will now stand as a strong message about the missing and will be part of the voice of change! We wi...

On the seventh anniversary of her abduction and murder, Alice Donovan was finally laid to rest in a ceremony that memorialized her as a loving mother, a lover of music and a strong woman.

While going through the myriad of missing persons posts on the Facebook newsfeed yesterday, I happened to see a picture and link put up by Kelly Jolkowski of Project Jason. The face of Christine Sheddy seemed to jump off the screen at me, I had...
Never have, never will take a flu shot. I would rather gamble with Mother Nature. If it takes me out, oh well!
The only time I have had flu symptoms (and I'm old!) it only lasted a day or two, fever broke, day to recover and then back to normal.

We are thankful for you, and everyone else here that remind us daily that life is precious and to appreciate our many blessings, however small.
Keeping hope alive, day by day.
