Missing Jesse Ross fell off NCIC database and NCMEC...........

In case any of you didn't see this on Facebook it is in reference to Jesse Ross the UMKC (University of Missouri at Kansas City) student who went missing while attending a mock UN in Chicago. For more info see: http://findjesseross.com/  Any help, suggestions and support for the Ross family would be much appreciated!  ---- After reading this it would be a good idea if all families of the missing routinely check to make sure their loved one is still entered on the NCIC. This isn't the first time we've heard this happen.

Our son Jesse Warren Ross went missing in Chicago in 2006. He is currently listed in NamUs and other missing databases. Apparently Lt. Kevin Dillon of Chicago police dropped the ball and Jesse is no longer in the NCIC database or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The representative from the NCMEC advises us they are waiting for Lt. Dillon to get the the NCIC db updated and they have been waiting some time. He promised to take care of this. We have made pleas to Lt. Dillon and to the Chicago mayors office and they all ignore us. Is this LE in IL? Please help us if you can. Thank you Donald Ross.

Sent this email to IL State Police Clearing house for missing persons, they have helped us in the past.

WE DESPERATELY NEED HELP...not only is Jesse "physically" missing, but now has "disappeared" from 2 databases !!!!! How can anyone/LE go to a database & look/compare info about Jesse & He's not even listed ?????? Please share & if you have any contacts in IL/Chicago, Please pass on this info.

I noticed a couple of months ago that my Jessie was also dropped off the NCIC database. I can't even get detective on the case to talk to me, let alone answer WHY.

Oh.....this is just crazy and infuriating.  If the table was turned the LEA's would want their loved ones kept on databases.  And, even if they have their rules, their #1 rule should be to notify the families if their missing loved one is to be dropped so the families can immediately try and rectify the situation.

Contact your local Assemblyman and Congressman. Get them involved. They helped us with a different situation regarding Joe Helt's case, but when you reach out to them they will help. In our case they contacted the head of the NYS Police in Albany to get things moving again in Joe's case....I'm sure one in your area will take this issue up and get Jesse's info back on NCMEC.

Thanks for the suggestion Gina.  The Ross family is from Belton, MO and Jesse went missing in Illinois.  In my own case my husband went missing from Nevada.  I moved back to Missouri, now in Kansas.  It was a Missouri Congressman who did a lot for me.  Maybe the Ross' should try congressmen in both states.

Karen....I think Don was checking NCMEC and couldn't find Jesse.  He then found out that Jesse was no longer on the NCIC.

It's like families are pretty much forced to get a PhD in the Missing in order to even attempt to stay on top of things - :(
