The Story of Scarman
God never gives us more than we can handle.
This is the motto that Ward Foley lives by daily. Born with Arthrogryposis, a rare degenerative disease, he has persisted through numerous surgeries, disfigurement and pain. He survived uncountable trials in the effort to live a ‘normal’ life, and triumphed through it all. Now, Ward’s mission is to empower others.
Every scar has a story behind it and is cherished by Ward as part of the process that made him.
A turning point for Ward came as he witnessed the death of a close friend’s spouse. Having experienced the young man’s passing, he realized it was his calling to spread the peace that this man exuded while making the transition, a message of human possibilities. So began his journey. It has led him to new horizons: a popular book, speaking engagements, and his association with Hospice.
He meets and speaks with people in the turmoil of life’s trials and helps them find peace and comfort through faith and provides hope for things to come.
Time spent with Ward, either through his books, speeches, or in his living room, for everywhere Ward is feels like his living room, will bring you to a place of hope and a new faith in possibilities
