Waterbury puts the value of unnecessary parking above the Human Life of Billy Smolinski

The following article was taken from The Cool Justice Report and details recent findings that further reveal the total lack of justice that Billy Smolinski's missing persons case has received thus far. 

 

I can barely stomach to read the latest infliction that law enforcement continues to heap upon our Jan and family ... the complete lack of regard to the value of Billy Smolinski's life that has time after time, continually been shown.

 

It's so difficult to comprehend how Joe Lieberman, a former Vice Presidential candidate, (for one - of many) could be so horrified by Billy Smolinski's lack of justice that he would back and support a new Federal Law (Billy's Law) and YET STILL the small town of Waterbury's police force, etc. continue to do nothing to bring Billy home.

  One A Citizen Obtains Public Records, What's Next?
  
  Jan Smolinski learned via FOI how Waterbury Police did virtually nothing following a tip that her son was strangled and buried.
  
  The revelations led the FBI to dig several sites in recent years.
  
  Government and private investigators have identified a number of witnesses who could help solve the case. There is also a trail of dead bodies in this case which has not been explored sufficiently.
  
  Mrs. Smolinski recently followed up with the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney and the U.S. Attorney, formally requesting the empaneling of grand juries to compel witness testimony. She is still waiting to hear from Chief State's Attorney Kevin Kane and U.S. Attorney David Fine.
  
  The FBI investigation appears to be dormant at this time.
  
  
• FBI launches new form to accept FOIA requests electronically

  A private investigator, Todd Lovejoy, continues to work on the case while Mrs. Smolinski presses law enforcement and elected representatives to deliver justice.

This is cruel. No other words to describe. I would want to know who was the person that actually did this? Do they not have a heart? A conscience? There is no justification for this in any way. I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around and whoever orchestrated this, did this...nothing would be forgivable except a public apology and 6 hours donated to re-hang posters of Billy all over the town. I'm very saddened to even see that photo:( Jan, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. All I can say is that I'm glad the supporters behind you far outweigh the nasty unthinking people who would do something like this.

    I am sorry that the very people who are there to protect and took thier oath to be as just, yet does horrible actions.  Had someone complained about the particular area in order for the LE to put the sign up and why could they not put the sign up higher or somewhere else?

    The actions are not acceptable I feel so bad for Jan and her husband. My thoughts and prayers are there for you.

I am so sorry Jan. You have alot of people behind your mission, not just to find out what happened to Billy, but also, to make changes in the world of the missing and their loved ones. You are loved, respected and supported by many for all that you do! Dont forget that because there are a few people who are afraid of the outcome in this case, who dont want to be bothered, or worse yet, compete with you instead of joining forces! Someday the truth will come out and those who fought to prevent it will be exposed.  Jan is a very strong woman who will overcome the obstacles put in her way -- of that much I am certain.  There are many who know the truth thus there are many supporters and we will all stand behind her for as long as it takes.  It sounds like the police department is rife with corruption but corruption will be uncovered too.  God is on the side of the truth.  May He bless Jan and keep her safe and may He bring Billy home to her soon.
