Okay, I am strangely both really excited about, yet really frustrated by this...
Excited because...my word! It's so clear! Finally, our government is truly doing something for the families of the missing! They have answered the many fervent pleas and as a direct result NamUs has been created!
We don't even have to spend additional time on fundraising efforts for it! It is government funded! (thus the .gov inNamUs.gov)
So...how and why in the world doesn't EVERY SINGLE CREDIBLE MISSING PERSONS AGENCY AND RESOURCE not have NamUs clearly displayed and included on their site, materials, etc.????!!!
If we truly care about one another, if we truly do have these hearts that break for the family members of the missing, if we truly want to bring them home...then...we should be sharing NamUs with those of the missing in the highest decibel manner possible! RIGHT?!
Because...what really is the point in having a billion albeit wonderful missing persons agencies if they aren't able to work together for the greater good?
That's one thing I so adore about Peace4 the Missing...the ability its members to be "one, sole agenda-free" by not putting self-promotion in the forefront...but rather consistently and strongly uniting together, to truly care and most effectively work towards the common goal we all share...to bring home the Missing...
Perhaps even if, we just create the awareness of the vital need for NamUs and then as many that are able can help assist with the "how to" - sometimes, we don't always have to know all the ins and outs of something for it to be most essential...Just Do It...or is that too subtle? I'll work on it, ;)
Is NamUs prominently listed/linked/displayed on your blog, site, network, materials, etc.?
How have YOU actively participated in spreading awarenss of NamUs? We want to know! Please share how you are, a link to where and so on below...and thank you!
Much Peace4 Praise for the following NamUs Awareness Role Models!
Thank You for your Excellent Collaborative Spirit, Chad...THAT is exactly the kind of organization I MOST would want to put my support and donations towards!
I think many still do not understand NamUs and the importance of the database. Billy is in NamUs and the information entered was just recently used to eliminate the possiblility the remains that were found was not those of my son. This time it was his dental, next time they may need to use DNA.
Jan Smolinski
(And if Jan is supporting something y'all KNOW it is a VERY GOOD MUST DO! ;)
I have never heard of NamUs are they a new organazation??? If they are here to help us with our missing children, THANK YOU JESUS....I will add this site to my site thank you
Bless your heart, Angelica...and I am so sorry that you were not told about it already by everyone and their brother...because bottom line is...your daughter is missing and you will do near anything to bring her home...as it should be!
That's what it is about, they are YOUR Missing Loved Ones! No one Agency, Resource, whatever owns them like a case...they are family and we all MUST work together to best increase any amount of hope there is available for all the Missing...
Wow, I started googling NamUs more and it is all over the place! Todd Matthews has done such a bang up job at getting the word out to all the Missing Persons Organizations! Very great work, Todd! Now, hopefully we can help all of them take that next step and list NamUs as well!
