Permalink Reply by Stacey Grater Missing on March 25, 2011 at 12:46pm My name is Melissa and My Aunt/Sister is missing and I need not only help to get her out there but I needed Support from other people who knew what I was dealing with and going through mentally and emotionally. I have gotten a ton of support and help with a lot of questions that come to my mind now and then and I can't make sense of my emotions and you guys have been there for me! You have been a Great uplifter to someone who normally used to be the uplifter herself but lost herself a couple times in this process of dealing with my loved one being missing and not having a funeral nor any closure at all or even if they are dead or alive...Constantly Wondering your mind never Stops trying to find what you are searching for until it's found..
I sincerely from my whole heart want to let you guys know how much I appreciate your love and support when I needed it as well as to tell you guys as well you have truthfully been a blessing to me otherwise I probably would have given up on my life and myself and my family and yes it would have been selfish but I had times were I felt I was failing my family and myself so to me what was the point of living because nobody could understand what I was going through nor how bad my heart was breaking inside and didn't feel like anyone even noticed i mean yes my hubby but I am talking about others who were around me who were saying a lot of things that were more hurtful then supportive because like I said they couldn't understand that I couldn't and wont give up on her..
My passion besides searching for my aunt/sister is singing I love to sing and ain't half bad I don't boast that I am great because I am humble and I feel there are people out there that can sing better then me My other passion is to help other people and no matter if they stomp on my heart I am still there showing them gods love that he had for me so I never say no to someone who ask for my help or advice unless I honestly can't help you and it is impossible to do so..Also my second passion is computers and starting my own business as well as be able to care for my children and husband happily in our own home.
My purpose is to be a psalmist as well as be a help to anyone who is in need as well as become a columnist on marriage and also how to make them work as well as help teenagers and reach out to those who are in need and teach them the right ways instead of the dumb ways that guys have got us all stuck in at one point in our lives or another..My hope for my life is is this that whatever the outcome with my aunt is that we finally get a resolve and answers and find her if she is passed away I will finally have closure and will finally be able to have my real life back that got stolen when she got stolen..I hope that god will turn this whole situation into good and we can all move forward in a better place then we were before she went missing and life changed for all of us..I hope that people can see the way I see and that is there is a reason why you go through trials and tribulations in your life and that is to teach you something so that you can pass it on to another who is facing the same situation or already is experiencing the same thing as you had before and God want's you to help them and tell them that you have gone through it and what you did to change it so that you learn&teach&Grow . It's a constant learning process that doesn't stop until we are ready to meet our maker.. We have to stop turning our heads and ignoring the hurting people who we watch get hurt and is struggling and yet we won't even stop to help pick them up off the floor and offer the support and tell them everything is gonna be alright! just that one simple act of kindness could have helped save that person from killing themselves that night or someone else! Love is all I got for everyone because I was first loved by Two special Souls my hubby and God!
My mission is to build a legacy for my family first and also for everyone who knew me I want to effect as many people as I can with what gifts and talents and abilities the lord blessed me with be able to profit him by profiting you and spreading his message and that was LOVE that is what the Bible said GOD IS LOVE and we should be too and that includes everyone that has two feet and can walk! no race no religion no barrier that we build up to protect ourselves and stand in gods way of reaching the hurting so therefore Nothing should stand in OURS to do the right thing and give them the true meaning of being a Christian by showing true love to them and friendship and not being a hypocritical person in from of others or behind closed doors because the people that are hurting and searching just to hear one loving word or some compassion or selflessness and that is exactly how you show someone Who GOD Is...Condemnation will only drive any person away if they see someone being persecuted and condemned because of what is hurting them as much as it hurts anyone in this world because we all bleed red and we all can feel pain so we all should see that we need to leave the judging to God and just be who God created you to be a lover and a person of good character..
My heartaches are many I can't pretend to act like I am fine because as a child of god I ain't perfect and nobody else can act like as though they are but they ain't nobody is and shouldn't treat others differently because of there own struggles and demons that they are battling with that is there walk and we got ours all we can do to better this world is to love those who are hurting and encourage those who are down and depressed and help those who need it and want the help otherwise you are going against what you are trying to accomplish..
My cause is to fight for justice of those who have been waiting forever for it and to protect children from sick men and women who think it's okay to touch kids inappropriately and hurt them and rape children and girls who have been raped and also abuse of any kind is a cause of mine because we shouldn't tolerate it from anyone who is offending another because there is no excuse before the Lord for it unless you are repentant and ask the lord for forgiveness and well as the person you did it too.. He said forgive so that you can be forgiven and I know I found that to be a very hard thing to overcome when you have been crossed or abused or someone you love has been either a victim of abuse of any kind or was on the other end and committed the abuse too. I have a lot of anger in my heart towards my aunt's father because she has confessed to me and my husband when we had gotten her out of his house a couple years before she disappeared that he had sexually and physically abused her and gave her drugs so that he could while she was high and out of it and was a very sick man and that makes me seethe at times when I even think about it because how can you do that to you child? And be ok with yourself as if you haven't done nothing but it is okay because I am waiting for the day that stuff it brought to light to everyone..My need currently is trying to get her case on Nancy Grace or the other show Issues so that possibly nancy grace can help my family to put a match under the polices butt or have a outside investigator look over the case and maybe see what we see and the ball being dropped on her period while her possible attacker or even murderer is running around living his life and thinking he got away with it and and smiling on the inside which is just sick!
Well this is a little bit more about me then I had thought I would share but sorry If I offend anyone for my religious beliefs in advance these are issues that just came out on this board about certain injustices that are making me upset and I needed to get them out before I go off on some people I know do a lot of the stuff I wrote about..Hugs everyone and thanks again for all the support that you have provided to me and confort when as well as understanding. I think I forgot to write two things that are I believe good that came out of the disapearance of Stacey and that is Me and her Daughter both after 10 or 15 years have our father's in our lives and finally have one door open for communication on the part of them and us. Little girls need there father's to be real father's in there lives otherwise they are left with deep emotional issues that cause them to have no male figure to look to for the way a man should act and be to a women nor to be loved by a father who really cares so they can learn how to behave and act and love a man appropriately. Thanks guys for being my virtual circle of support in this roller coaster we are currently calling our lives..Hope you understand my writing's.

Permalink Reply by Lisa DeSherlia on May 8, 2012 at 7:41am Like this others I was drawn to all the caring, warmhearted, loving and gracious things I see going on here. This place is such a haven for families. Currently, I have started a Change.org petition campaign on a matter which may seem/be irrelevant to the focus at PEACE4 but which is my central passion because of personal experience. My petition is at: http://www.change.org/petitions/the-u-s-senate-the-u-s-house-of-rep...
To make this petition much easier to pass on (which I want to see!) my Facebook page where it can be share from is:https:www.facebook.com/ChildrenWithAutismBecomeAdultsWithAutism
God's Blessings To Each of You!
Permalink Reply by Stephanie Thompson on May 8, 2012 at 12:56pm I am not even sure how I ended up here. I do know however, that it was a pivotal point in my state of depression. I had never found a place where so many regular, not organizational, people going through the same thing, were all gathered, poised and ready to be supportive and understanding. Poised and ready to accept support and understanding. Missing Persons is such a different place to be and most people in (in my case all people) in our daily lives have no clue what is going on and why you are so upset. Most people just turn a blind eye to whats going on, and that can be more hurtful than anything. Your loved one is already missing, and then people want to pretend nothing is wrong. Peace4 is amazing. It lets me be me, without having to put up a happy front, or an emotionally stable front. I can be as open and raw as I'd like because you guys are all going through it too.
