Maureen, I agree! You would be perfect at this, Angie!
I like reading this thead so I am "bumping" it... ;)
I get by with the help of my friends.  seriously, friends, family, I have learned to reach out.  And faith, we really need to have faith that this amazingly complex world is a work of intentional creation and that we have purpose and a place in it all.  I also involve myself in activities to aid the missing, not just Jesse but as many of the missing that can be helped.
My family is what keeps me going. My family means the wrld to me and I have to get to the bottom of what happened and find my sister. I als use my writings, everything I can do to get my sisters story out, music and spending time with my family. Sometimes I feel I can handle it all, then other days I want to scream, but don't. My grand daughters are a big way that I cope, they are the best thing in my life and having them around me helps anything.
Think of your other kids, enjoy them, thank god for your partner putting up with you  !!! Pray... i dont have the answers because there are none in these cases , work, do publicity and snuggle up to your family when you can....
So far, the only way I cope is that murderer is going to trial next week. Right now he sits with a 4 million dollar bond. I only stay strong for my family. God help us when the trial starts.
Mary Ellen oh man thinking of you in his trying time :) hang in there im sure your luved one is looking down on you and the family overwhelmed with the support you've given for their justice
I still think when people talk about the good memories of their missing or murdered luved ones i thinkthat helps

What helps me cope?

Helping others with what I can offer, if it means digging in dirt with my hands, then I will dig in dirt with my hands, and I have done that before.

Support as a family unit that we are all connected same as being the best friend we can be to others with our faith, hope, and support.

For myself, education, tools, profiles, working with others is my most important element to survive. I have found the most positive thing in life isembarcing others and be there for them in what ever way I can. It may not always be very much but a word just a word can make all the difference in the world.

We have angels and they come in many forms just listen sometimes to the simplest things will guide us. I found out as well, I am not always in a acceptable manner but then what is acceptable? If it solves and helps bring our children home then so be it.

Support of family and friends.
