Maureen did you report Budget to the better business bureu?  That was so unprofessional of them and horribly awefull to treat a customer that way.  If you didnt i think you should no matter how many years ago that was.  That is just plain horrible!  Im so sorry! :(

HHHMMMM Maureen you know everybody is talking about how mean and hatefull they are about your missing luved one and why they are that way.  I wonder if one reason is their involvement in the dissapearance?  This may not go for everybody who acts this way but it could go for some.  I find it strange that Budget Security did not try to help you.  Its like they werent even worried about the car missing I would think they would be right?  Almost like they knew where it was the whole time and then it ended up being close by.  I dont know why Budget would want to do this to your husband but it is really strange.  This may sound weird but sence this was in Las Vegas could it be possible Budget is a cover for criminal activity?  The police didnt investigate either that is really strange. Does this makes sense what i am saying?  It's just a thought but who knows...

It was one of the reasons I initially thought my husband was dead, we now know he's alive but the whole story, all the answers have yet to fall into place.

 

When I first called Budget I got a very nervous young man on the phone who said my husband had not rented a car there.  Being a database person and knowing how my husband's name could have been entered wrong or the young man probably wasn't entering in the right spelling to pull it up I worked with him for some time trying to give him ideas on how to pull the account up.  He remained nervous the whole time. I then went in to Budget and a young gal there pulled the account up immediately .... behind her sat a young man, probably the one I had talked to on the phone, acting very nervous.  What this guy knew of my husband's disappearance I'll probably never know.

 

And, yes I believe that there are rental car companies throughout the southwest that are involved in criminal activity.  It's something I have been keep a watch on.

In reading all these posts I started thinking about some of the things I've heard over the years,regarding my missing/murdered daughter. Last summer there was a couple stories about her in the local newspaper. I was astonished to read some of the online comments about us. One person(man,it seemed), said Angie deserved to die for how she lived. That she obviously enjoyed being a 'punching bag' or she wouldn't have stayed with her abuser. And that I must be a horrible mother to not know she was being abused because" a good mother would just know and rescue her".The article was excellently written and seemed overwhelmingly sad. But that person was just so cold and mean. I felt compelled to try to explain what it is to have a missing person. What it is to lose your person to murder and to not even have the body to bury. I invited him to learn about it. I asked him to try love. Still, on his ignorant rant, he refused to listen to me. He insisted that this kind of stuff would NEVER happen in his family. I asked him what made him think such. He said his family was much too strong for this sort of thing to happen to them. I was beside myself. I realized he couldn't understand it as he had never had to l live it. My friend, Ra'Vae, finally said to him,"that's right dude,you STAY STRONG"! So we just logged off and never went back. I wanted to see his response but knew it needed to just be ignored.But,how hurtful and frustrating it was!

I don't know why people get stupid and hurtful when they are making comments online.  I often wonder if those same people would say the same thing face to face.  I've noticed on newspaper articles in particular there seems to be whole lot of people that say whatever to get a rise out of others.  I often picture them as having a middle school mentality where they know they are hurting someone just so they can sit back and laugh at inflicting pain.  They are usually playing it up for an audience of like minded people who egg them on to keep up their hurtful ways.
