Permalink Reply by karen rae elkins on December 19, 2010 at 10:58pm I have two quotes, one for the hard times in life and one to remind me to be happy in the simple things. Both quotes are a reflectiona of God. I love the quote from the book "Out of Africa" the Karen Blixen story. "God made the world round so we can't see too far down the road." I also like the quote from the book, The Color Purple, "I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it." Most of my favorite books have been made into movies, but they somehow just never make the grade as a movie.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind I will never die. ?
"Life isn't like a bowl of cherries or peaches.....it's more like a jar of jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow." Garfield
"If you live to be a hundred, I hope to live to be a hundred minus one day, so that I never have to live a day without you" - - Winnie the Pooh
Sometimes I miss you so much I want to take you out of my dreams and never let you go.

Permalink Reply by Sara Huizenga on February 22, 2011 at 7:10pm Looking for a good horse quote to put as my Facebook status ... which one of the below (or if you have other - please do share ;) do you like best?
Show me your horse, and I will tell you who you are.
A stubborn horse walks behind you, an impatient horse walks in front of you, but a noble companion walks beside you.
In buying a horse or taking a wife, shut your eyes tight and commend yourself to God.
There are only two emotions that belong in the saddle; one is a sense of humor and the other is patience.
If your horse says no, you either asked the wrong question or asked the question wrong.
Your horse can only be as brave as you are.
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
The best color on a horse is fat.
