With a contingency of religious persons, Heather and their daughters intend to meet Thomas “Tommy” Price head-on upon his release. Issues will be deal with right then, in the light of day and not in the dark of night. She has numerous options of safe places to flee, but not the money or reliable means to one.

I am sick to my stomach. My mom's good friend, Shirley...daughter is 57 and was a resident at this home. Somebody at 3:22 am started a fire on the front porch of the group home where 3 mentally challenged adults lived. (note, my mom's friend's daughter is in a wheelchair too. She is 57) Everyone is now in critical condition in the burn unit at Akron Ohio. WHO WOULD PURPOSELY start a fire at a mentally challenged group home????? Say prayers, please. The policeman who went in to try and rescue is also in critical condition:(

WARREN -- [b]A police officer who raced into a burning home early this morning in an attempt to save the handicapped residents is listed in critical condition at an Akron Hospital, sources said.[/b]

Patrolman Doug Hipple was flown to the Akron Burn Center with what firefighters described as burns and smoke inhalation after he entered the home around 3:30 a.m. today.

A press conference scheduled to release more details on the fire is scheduled to get underway at Warren City Hall momentarily.

[b]Three handicapped residents of a group home were also flown to hospital burn centers, including one in Pittsburgh early today after a fire broke out at the home at 368 Bonnie Brae Ave. N.E.[/b]

Three other still unidentified adult-aged female residents of the group home were also taken by helicopter to the Akron hospital.

Warren Fire Chief Ken Nussle said the blaze was called in at 3:22 a.m., most likely by a Tribune Chronicle newspaper carrier, after it apparently started outside on the front porch.

The three residents and Hipple, who entered the front door in a rescue attempt, were found by firefighters on the second-floor of the two and one-half story frame home that sustained heavy damage to the front area of the first and second floors.

Nussle said a live-in caregiver at the home was outside and unscathed as firefighters arrived five minutes after the initial call.

A fourth resident of the home was not there and out of town.

Firefighters tried to summon Hipple through his police radio but he failed to respond after he was inside the burning house for one minute, the chief said.

Warren fire investigators and State fire marshals were at the scene this morning using a canine capable to sniffing accelerants.

i can,t say this enought,sexual abuse for a child is a death to ther childhood. there should be better laws,
