Finding Our Way Home

There may be numerous reasons that one is missing or separated from their family. Whether by abduction as a child, adoption, or living somewhere else, there is always a need to know, a need to be reunited to become whole.

This group is created for those who may be searching for their original family members with the hope that their family is also searching for them.

If you fall into this category, or know someone who is searching for their family, please feel free to start discussions about your search efforts. We are only here to help facilitate, connect or offer information.

We are not experts and not libel for any communications concerning these issues. Please remember, this is an open site, meaning that anything may be read by anyone, whether a member or not. Please use your own discretion and caution when posting about sensitive issues.

I know it has been awhile since I posted here. I have been talking to a lot of people on FB and have kept up with some posts one here. Life has also been busy in good ways. I got to go to the CUE conference which was awesome and today just got back from NY from the HOPE day with Doug and Mary Lyall! There was a lot of sharing at both places and things are always great when you get to hear other peoples stories.
I wanted to tell everyone about a blog radio show that I will be on next Sunday 'April 18th to speak about missing persons from the view of the abducted child! Anyone who can listen I could sure use the support!
Love you all this has been a place where I could always come to gather strength to continue on my road to go home! I thank God every day for each of you and all you have done to help me!

Do You Know Me?

I belong to a little girl who now is all grown up
I have held her tears
for many many years

You see one day she was taken from her family so dear
And made to live with someone who anyone would fear

When she first was kidnapped I helped her fall asleep
But it was so hard every night to listen to her weep

She is all grown up now
But her Christmas wish remains
For one more chance to be held close
By those who loved her so

Maybe they are searching for her too
She has such beautiful eyes of blue
She has a happy spirit that has never left her heart
She believes she got this from her family who taught her how to love

She is so determined
To find her way back home
And have a chance to say
She always held them in her heart
And wished they were never ripped apart

Please help me Findmywayhome@comcast.net

Known Details:

Kidnapped in the early to mid 1960s
Blue eyes
Brown Hair

Used to dream all the time of a brown house
Flag staff walk way
Swing set in the back yard

The stuffed Kitten above may have been from before I was kidnapped
Had glow in the dark eyes
Had a bell in his tail

My mom used to sing to me
One song that I remember is
Down in the Valley: Link to this song

What a great post! At some point it is about that person finding their way home! I think it is so important to start to respect the victims journey. Maybe if we look at the journey of those who go missing we might be able to bring more home. Look for the patterns in the journeys weather they were abducted or made choices that led them to the path of someone who ended their life or their freedom! I think I just figured out what the group should be about!

This group should be about the victims Journey! Not the journey of those looking for them but more about the Victim's journey and understanding and honoring that. This should be a place of discovery and learning so that we can make their journey's something that leads them home faster!

Love Ya
