“Remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS.”  Mahatma Gandhi
I just got chills ... and I've seen that visual before many times too!  But still ... I did ... <3

Justice to me is more then making the "bad guy" pay for their crime. Justice is answers, Justice leads to peace. Justice is the voice of reason when all else falls apart. Justice is not always fair and often times seems unreasonable.

There recently was a car accident in Phoenix. A 12 year old died, her brother in a coma, and mother severely injured. The man driving the truck was facing charges for child prostitution and was able to be on the streets for over 2 years as a free man because of a series of legal loopholes. An unrelated incident took this littler girls life. She wasn't a victim of his sickness. She died because he failed to stop for a red light. This little girl's sacrifice is devastating and sad. The family moved back to Phoenix from Illinois to have a better life. They were not in phoenix for 24 hours before the accident happened. Because of this girl, a sick man can't hurt children anymore. Many people have said if God needed someone to die for a sicko to pay for his crime, take me instead. While it's sad, I am happy to know that this girl's death will prevent the rape and trafficking of children. They will be able to prosecute this man for life because of what one soul gave.

Justice comes in many forms. It's not always recognizable, but everyone will get justice for their loss. The question is, will they see it and when?

After my sister's daughter died she couldn't see justice or could I. One day 2 jailers got lost on a back road. They pulled into the first place that was open. My sister was working that day. It turns out these jailers worked at the same prison that her murderous husband was in. They told her about her husband and how he is treated. They promised her to make his life in prison a living hell. Well I don't wish ill will on the most vicious predator, he got what was coming to him and everyday he is reminded of how much he is hated for what he took.

The system of justice is only good as the people in it and those who fight to have it's voice heard. Justice is blind when we sit back and do nothing. Justice is silent when we feel scared to speak out. Justice is about being brave and sometimes making a difficult decision to speak out when people tell us to let go.

Thanks Brian.....you "get it!"

There is no nepitism in justice and No favoritism, just answers and the bad guys pay for what they did, they pay hard.

Jackson Browne: The Word Justice Lyrics

A man stands up before his God and country

Raises his right hand and takes an oath

Swears he has acted in the line of duty

And he more than anyone wants to tell the truth

But there is a need to keep somethings a secret

Some weapons shipments, some private wars

In the future democracy will be defended

Behind closed doors

Now the men of Congress who convene to determine

If covert war is a business or a crime

Are the same men who routinely give their permission

For the shedding of blood in security's name

And there is a need to keep some things a secret

The names of some countries, the terms of some deals

And above all the sound of the screams of the innocent

Beneath our wheels

Does the word justice mean anything to you?

Are the features of a lie beginning to come through?

In the streets of America the children are buried

Caught in an avalanche of weapons and drugs

They live and they die in the bowels of a business

That disguised as a war between The Crips and The Bloods

And there is a need to keep some things a secret

The C.I.A. deals protecting the source

And the government policies directly connecting the drugs and our wars

Does the word justice mean anything to you?

As the battlefield comes home and democracy falls through

I am waiting for the time to come

When the word will be real for everyone

And not just a word but a thing that can be done

Justice must be won

Oh, oh, oh justice

Justice

Justice

Oh, oh, oh justice

Justice
