SOMETIMES WE WONDER WHAT IS ANOTHER PERSONS MIND THAT THEY COULD DO THAT TO SOMEONE, AND SOMEONES FAMILY. THEY NOT ONLY HAVE TAKEN THE LIFE OF A PERSON A LOVED ONE, BUT THEY HAVE TAKEN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY. I AM LUCKY I WAS A SURVIVOR OF SOMEONE WHO TRIED TO TAKE MY LIFE SUCH AS THIS WITH THE INTENT TO HIDE MY BODY WHERE MY FAMILY WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO FIND ME. I KNOW WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT WHEN HE TOLD ME THAT AND I KNOW WHEN I HAD THAT GUN HELD TO MY HEAD THAT IT JUST MAY COME TRUE, I COULD ONLY THINK AT THAT TIME AS A VICTIM WHAT MY FAMILY WOULD GO THROUGH SEARCHING FOR ME WITHOUT ANY ANSWERS. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE PAIN AND SUFFERING AND THE WANTING ANSWERS AND TO BE ABLE TO AT LEAST GIVE KAREN A LOVED ONES FAREWELL. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE YOU ALL OF MY SUPPORT AND LET YOU KNOW YOU MAY CALL UPON ME FOR ANYTHING YOU MAY NEED FROM ME. THIS IS NOTHING TO TAKE THE PAIN AWAY BECAUSE NO ONE CAN BUT I OFFER MY LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TODAY AND EVERY DAY.

Hi Everyone!

Yes, unfair is the smallest word. We are working on getting answers from the murderer. Sadly with all the murders in Indianapolis we are having a hard time getting the Homicide Det. in to see the murderer.

My fear is that with him being in isolation for almost 2 years he may have lost his mind, but then again maybe that is a good thing and he will talk!

For Every Missing Person there is a Family who is Missing a Child, Parent, Sibling, Cousin, Grandchild, Aunt or Uncle.

"Grief on Hold".

I started this group in Memory of My Step Daughter, Karen Jo Smith, Still Missing!

Although her ex husband is in prison for her Murder and is serving 95 years, we have still not been able to bring an end to out search for her. From there it seems that our group continues to grow.

We are Families who have or had a Missing Adult or Child.

We are hoping to share our experience, strength and hope in order to bring to you what was not availble to us, and that is support and resources.

So much has changed in the last 6 years since Karen Jo disappeared.

New Laws have been made.
New Resources are available.
New Hope is being gained.

All this because another Adult or Child has vanished and just like this group, they reached out and are making a difference.

I don't understand how someone can allow their children to continue feeling the pain and the anguish of wanting their mother laid to rest in a known place. What does he have to lose at this point?

HOW CAN A PERSON BE SO CRUEL AS TO NOT LET A FAMILY HAVE A MEMBERS REMAINS SO THAT THEY CAN HELP GET CLOSURE?
