I believe that this will be my new focus on Peace4. I need to bring awareness to cases like my mom's. It is unjust that people think that the homeless are just addicts... they have very real problems that exist like many others (who aren't homeless). Everyone seems to think that it is okay to treat homeless people as "disposable" bodies and it is not. These homeless belong to someone somewhere!

This group caught my eye mostly because I had a couple of businesses in S.Florida.There is a area along Dixie Highway which is US 1 which parallels I-95. There is a huge homeless population in that area. Pompano Bch at one time had a area called the jungle which had close to 75 people living in one area. There are a lot of cash businesses and people survive doing odd jobs,begging or stealing.It's a place to consider looking if a loved one disappears on the East Coast.

The man in my profile picture was a missing fugitive/homeless for 7 months, he is also my son. I understand the hopelessness and anguish mothers, fathers, brothers, friends, sisters, etc.... feel when they have a missing person that was a fugitive or a homeless person to begin with.
My son luckily had some friends that he made on the streets that helped him through the cold nights and showed him where to get shelter and clothes, etc.
I am here to help and to advise or just listen to anyone anywhere that needs something. If I can help, I will.
God Bless everyone during this holiday season that can be so hard for people out there.

This is the time of the year, to help furnish clothes, blankets, childrens clothes, shoes, etc. for our homeless shelters and churches and all other resources that are free to the homeless. I'm going through all my kids clothes and mine, that we've outgrown, and not going to take them to the Thrift Stores, that resale these item for a lower price, as the homeless cannot afford to buy. I love these stores, don't get me wrong, and shop them all the time. I can get killer deals of new clothes with tags still on them for hardly nothing! but during this winter season, these items we can gather up need to be given to resources that do not charge! This avenue of life of the less unfortunate is very important to me, considering our prisoners are housed and certainly not doing without! but our homeless do not have the luxeries they do, and it angers me. But thats another story! smiles.... The time to start on this mission is now, before it gest too cold and we loose loved ones to the weather and hunger in our own towns, cities, county an states. Coats and Gloves socks and shoes and blankets are most needed for them to prepare for the cold months. FOOD! is another necessity.
It will take some work, to find the shelters that recevie these items, and some hands on participation on our part. I hope and pray we can reach these people this year. Well, thanks for letting me share.

THIS IS A PART OF THE WORLDS POPULATION THAT IS VERY FORGOTTEN AND I AM GLAD SOMEONE IS REMEMBERING THAT THEY ARE HUMAN AS WERE HUMAN.
