As far back as i can remember being on the internet, this was one of the first missing cases that always caught my eye... I do not know Billy, nor do i even live near his state.  But something always grabbed me about this case.  I read all i could read, i kept thinking, someone is missing something.  In this day and time, with facebook and all the social sites, why cant we figure this out?  people just dont keep good secrets.  Why would someone want to?  Does anyone have morals anymore?  I would turn in my brother if i found out he killed someone.  I have a brother n law that was murdered 15 years ago last month.  The case is a cold case.  It was in New Orleans, so noone cares.  After Katrina, I doubt there is any evidence in existence.  My nephew is in prison for murdering a drug dealer.  He was so scared of the gang, he his the body and it was unsolved for 6 months.  He got in a fight and killed him with his bare hands.  The thought that the family had to wonder and worry for months, just sickens me. Regardless of the opinion that i have of the individual, he was still a loved one, a son, a brother, an uncle.  So for my first post, and not my last, i can say, I have been on a few sides of the fence. It is all disgusting, heartbreaking, and just a dern shame.  My nephew got life with no possibility of parole.  It breaks my heart that this was not a planned devious act, but got out of control.  But i would have made him go straight to the police had i known.  It is a decision that cost him his freedom, forever.  Thanks for reading.

Many thoughts with Jan and Bill, Another MISSING ADULT in Connecticut- Missing from Newington, CT I believe! The man was in his upper 40s to early 50s, I believe, went shopping at Walmart and called his wife twice to let her know he was having car trouble now his auto and he have DISAPPEARED. How can we just keep losing Humans!?The young teenage girl from ORgane, CT has been found, THANK GOD for these simple miracles,  I am so hoping people work with this family and young girl to advise, educate her as to what MISSINg situations can turn into and what grief and anguish they cause for so many others. I ran away a few times as a child myself feeling that not completing a homework assignment or project was inexcusable and needed to esacpe and hide thinking it was insurmountable. or once after during a driving permit episode with my poor, trusting gentle father trying to hard to help me let me drive his recent model buik Skylark and I hit another vehicle while on a drivers permiit. POOR POPPA POOR POPPA whatever he had of any value or worth was always destroyed or damaged on him. I ran away for several days/cold early spring nights it was cold too then slept in a neighbors garden shed I knew would be unlocked didn't really sleep it was too cold but kept punishing myself all those days and nights and truthfully punished my poor, distraught upset father even more. So sorry POPPA! PLease Teach the young that going missing, running away just doesn't help and if home circumstances are tough, difficult, violent, scarey we MUST create and really have readily available safe places for youth to go to so they will be warm, shelterd, safe from predators ( those are growing faster than weeds in our gardens!) Missing adults are nothing to take lightly or skirmish around as we all know but so many more need to know and understand so many just don't understand, still. Jan has the accurate info on the Missing adult male from Newington, CT I believe...I'm a bit out of sync these last few weeks withmy own  problems still persisting

Billy is the "LIGHTPOST" for the Northeast! He shines a light, a constantly burning candle of hope, care and reaching out to others through the love, kindness, dedication and persistance of his parents, Jan and Bill Smolinski. I see a technical College notation HMMM we in Connecticut have several technical schools and now Community technical Colleges (yes there is some technical bases left!) Wonder if they could also be recruited into finding ways to support the Missing/Unsolved? WHo /how can we get a PUBLIC realtions/Outreach commitee going those that can interface and outreach into every state. THose that can contact businesses located in America like CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Kohls's, Targets for support and ability to post Missing Children and missing Adult Posters by Month?

Watched the Disappeaered episode on facebook, this is a terrible miscarriage of justice and it is so sad that there is no official who will step up and make this right.  We pray for resolution for Jan and family.
