- Posted: 10/10: For five months I have been searching for my friend, Beth Bentley, 41, mother of three from Woodstock, IL. The amount of adults that go missing and are never seen or heard from again is mind numbing. The fact that there is no protocol for dealing with a missing adult is unbelievable.

Five years ago, when I moved from Missouri to Illinois, I remembered hearing a story about 'a kid visiting Chicago from Kansas City, MO' that went missing. The realizations that come to families and friends of the missing after they experience someone missing is that this is a problem that lies hidden to the world and yet it is such a HUGE problem! The first time that you realize how many are just gone you probably wonder why you never noticed this issue before. But the group of us who have already been effected and realize how large of a problem this is WELCOME you to a group that will stay with you forever! My hope and prayer is that your friend will be found soon and safe! That being said this is a community that will be here weather she is found in a day or a year or ten years! We will all be here... Maybe even your friends family at some point might find comfort by joining Peace 4 the missing! Many find it a place to say the things that they feel and go through which so many do not understand!
I hope you find Peace here on the days that seem impossible to get through and give Peace to others here on the days where you have strength!

- Thank you all for the warm welcome. My friend, Beth Bentley, has been missing for five months tomorrow, October 23rd. Her missing is considered 'suspicious' and her family has great confidence that the PD is still very actively pursuing her case.
In the earliest stages of trying to get word about Beth out I made the decision to start a Facebook page "Beth Bentley ....Missing Woodstock, IL Woman!". This has been both a positive thing, and a negative thing. Today, it is primarily negative because it has turned into a place of bickering, rumors, attacks and blame. This has taken a heavy, heavy toll on my heart. For all the good that is out there, the small percentage of bad is the loudest and meanest.
If I could ask anything of you all right now, it would be to please take a moment and visit Beth's site so that we can cover it up with positive, hopeful and kind messages.
I would appreciate it so very, very much. And in return I will do my best to pass on the work that you do, too.
Thanks for a shoulder to lean on at a rough time :'(
