- I am a sister of Frederick Andrew Holmes, missing baby brother. Disappeared May 25, 1955 in Grahamsville, Sullivan County, NY. Age 22 months. He was recently entered in DOE network July 2, 2009 by Todd Matthews. Interest as a possible Cold Case. It has been so long and I want so bad to know where is Freddie (Tookie, family nick name!) I was fourteen when Freddie went missing. Several more of Freddies siblings have passed this year as well as our parents and still no closure. This is so painful!!! I am here because we need help.

I received information today that 'The Middletown Times Herald Record' in Middletown, New York will publish a story on Nov.8, 2009 about Frederick Andrew Holmes, a 22 month old toddler, now a Cold Case, missing from his home in Grahamsville, New York since May 25, 1955. MILO, Maine — It was sheer relief that Dorothy Holmes Brown of Milo felt Monday when she learned that her DNA had not matched the DNA samples taken from a boy whose beaten body was found in a box in 1957 in Philadelphia.
Brown had thought the boy, who was dubbed by the press as the “Boy in the Box,” might have been her little brother Freddie Holmes, who disappeared from his family’s secluded home on Denman Mountain in Grahamsville, N.Y., on May 25, 1955.
“The chances are better that he’s alive,” Brown said Tuesday, referring to the DNA results. “That makes me feel better.”

- Dorothy, you and your family are in my prayers. Your story truly touched my heart. I pray someone will happen across my blog and contact you that knows something. When you do find out whats happened, please make sure you let me know. I have faith in our Lord up above, that He will help you find out. Everything happens for a reason, and I know He must have had a reason for this. I know that's hard to believe, but it's God's way, and it will all work out in the end.
