Findmywayhome,
You will be in my prayers. I know that the journey has most assuredly been quite difficult at times. I cannot imagine being in your shoes. Never lose faith. Never lose hope. Miracles happen every day, and I pray that you get yours....
Findmywayhome,
It is your story that gives hope. Some children do survive, and some are reunited. May you find your family and know who you were and are. Blessings.
Julia
It is good to have you here, Natalia. Hope is everything. Madeleine's case is so very sad. You are doing something just by being here. You are helping to spread the word. And we are grateful.
I don't think it means that at all. But it would be good to have more cooperative efforts between the groups. It's like the real estate industry with IREM, BOMA, ICSC, IFMA, and others.
I have watched over the past 15 years how many local non-profits in KC have worked together, forming cooperating and collaborative efforts and accommodating new programs and missions. In doing this, they allow their organizations to run with much ...
Hi, my name is Julia. Maureen pretty much convinced me to join, and I must say I am glad that I did. It is hard to watch people go missing and the lack of cooperation of LE when it is out of character for them to do so. And, of course, the lack of...
Economic abuse is one of the most unrecognized forms of abuse there is. Having suffered through this, I can tell you it is horrible. That power and control thing. I was allowed $100 a week to buy groceries, toiletries, and household supplies for a...

Are you involved with other organizations (please include link if applicable) relating to Missing Persons and Domestic Violence...and if so, please share a bit about here...
Yes, Safehome (KS) and Hope House (MO)
Please share a few sentences regarding what social issues, cases, activism efforts best describe who you are and why you are here...
These unsolved missing persons cases are most disturbing. There are several here in the KC Metro. Other social issues that concern me are domestic violence, having spent 3 months in shelter with 2 of my children, health care reform, and the current unemployment situation in this country.

I'm writing on behalf of the Peace4 "Hospitality" Team. We have 38 members right now but I'M GREEDY! I'm recruiting for more members to join in the fun. You can never have enough "Greeters". There are so many every day demands in our lives. I want to be sure there is someone here to greet and direct the new members as soon as they join.
We're so glad you joined us here at Peace4! Please introduce yourself - we would love to hear about you, your work and your input. Your voice is much needed here!

I am, too, Maureen. I am so disappointed that I had to work and miss the ceremony. Now I know how you feel about missing blogtalk radio shows, only moreso! :(
Thanks Delilah if people just go on her website and fill something out maybe it will spike their interest. As we know from the families the memories are like it was yesterday! No number of years will take it all away...

OMG, FindMyWayHome I saw this and thought of you! I just envisioned you sitting there and being the one surrounded by her found family. Everyone's answers are different and some are not as good as others, some are very partial answers, but if you ...
I know someone who said she was called as a guest for Oprah because she filled out the polls and questionaires on her site. This was a while back and I don't know what's on Oprah's site now. Yes, we should send some letters about these older cases...
Rest in peace Alice you have taught us so much. Somethings we wish you did not have to teach us. Rest in peace but never to be forgotten! Your life will now stand as a strong message about the missing and will be part of the voice of change! We wi...

While going through the myriad of missing persons posts on the Facebook newsfeed yesterday, I happened to see a picture and link put up by Kelly Jolkowski of Project Jason. The face of Christine Sheddy seemed to jump off the screen at me, I had...
Never have, never will take a flu shot. I would rather gamble with Mother Nature. If it takes me out, oh well!
The only time I have had flu symptoms (and I'm old!) it only lasted a day or two, fever broke, day to recover and then back to normal.

We are thankful for you, and everyone else here that remind us daily that life is precious and to appreciate our many blessings, however small.
Keeping hope alive, day by day.
