krisi bowman said… I'm very sorry to hear about your brother. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm thankful that you have some of the answers you and your family need so that you can find peace. My condolences
Maureen Reintjes-Peace4 Admin said… Oh Tish I am so so sorry for your loss. In this report (http://www.newson6.com/story/16003700/police-make-arrest-in-murder-of-missing-tulsa-man ) they state that Joshua has not been found, is that correct? Was the DNA and dental records information submitted to NamUs?
Although you now know he was murdered he is still missing. We are here for you until he if found and beyond. If you need to talk let me know and I'll send you my phone number.

Maureen Reintjes-Peace4 Admin said… Oop sorry forgot to answer your question about Facebook. If you don't have Joshua's password and can't get it from anyone that might know then law enforcement will have to try and take control of the site.
When I was discussing to make sure you have ownership over all sites I was talking about any sites that might be put up in Joshua's name make sure family starts them and not some stranger, no matter how nice they appear. You are going to run into great, good hearted people and that is a heartwarming thing in this world of the missing. But on the flip side you and your family will be preyed upon by people acting saccharin sweet who are only after a scoop so they can outpost their fellow posters on crime/hate sites and other social networking sites. There are also reward mongers and psychic scammers. If you are not sure about someone ask any one of the admins on here. Most of us have had a loved one missing, or are trained and certified NamUs advocates and have other hours of certified training dealing with the missing/unidentifieds under our belts.
Maureen Reintjes-Peace4 Admin said… Tish,
Glad you got Joshua listed on NamUs. Make sure you get the dental information to them and you can request a DNA kit that will be sent to your law enforcement ... it is free for the kit and the processing of the DNA. It is just something to get done with and out of the way. I see it as a tool of hope as every day there is not a match then hope can stay alive.
On here if you would like to start a group you can do that as a group helps you to keep all info in one area. And/or you can place a flyer on your "My Page" or on the Home page under discussions or blogs. Do you have his flyer in an image like a jpg file? If you do if you start a discussion or blog or comment there is a tool bar and the 2nd button from the left if you click on it you can upload the file. The paperclip on the tool bar is how you can upload a document file. If you need help turning the flyer into an image let me know as I can do that for you.

Tish Counts said… Hi! Thank you for telling me about namus.gov. I listed him on there. How would I put a flyer up? Also I have no control over his facebook, can I submit like a missing person case number and they will provide me access? Thank u for help
Maureen Reintjes-Peace4 Admin said… Tish welcome to Peace4. I'm so sorry your brother is missing. I checked NamUs.gov and I didn't seen him listed on there. Family can list their loved ones themselves and I highly encourage that they do so as soon as possible.
You are welcome to put up flyers and any info you would like to about Joshua. And, you are welcome to share as little or as much as you would like. We exist to support the families so let us know how we can help.
A little advice: In all things make sure you or a family member have control of any social networking sites. This includes Facebook sites, web pages, blogs, etc. If family doesn't have control some pretty horrible and hurtful things can be said and some comments can even interfere with the investigation. You all need the power to be able to delete comments or ban people if needed. Also, always remember that family owns their cases and no one else.
