Media
Are you involved with other organizations (please include link if applicable) relating to Missing Persons and Domestic Violence...and if so, please share a bit about here...
My first experience with a domestic violence organization was 2nd Chance in Anniston AL. Circumstances forced me to get help. Although I left my husband in 2006, he continues to abuse me. 2nd Chance has always been there for me.
Please share a few sentences regarding what social issues, cases, activism efforts best describe who you are and why you are here...

Which Current Member of Peace4 Referred You Here?
I found you on the internet. I've been researching for over a week.
How long have you been "observing" Peace4 prior to applying for membership, why would you like to be an active member of Peace4?
Just today, but I know this is a site, I read Susan Murphy's Blogs on DV. I would like to become an active member and a learning tool to help others.
Positive Suggestions/Ways you may be able to improve/contribute to Peace4?
I travel and fish throughout the US. According to the Violence Policy Center statistics on the Top 15 States for DV, I fish in 11 of the States and live in Alabama, ranked 13th. I talk to many women on my journeys, some victims of DV.

From the Cumberland, to the Tennessee, To The Red

Last night around 8 Katrina called. She asked me to pick her up across the Arkansas River. I said yes, of course. I have a Fishing Championship on the Tennessee River in Tennessee Friday and Saturday. I didn't have a partner for the tournament. So, I've put in a request that Katrina fish with me.

I'm sure we will be the only female/female competitors. We are famous for staying in a two man tent, which would be a good plan except for the rain predicted through both tournament days. She doesn't h… Continue

Letters to Jesse O Sept 12th

Sept 12th
Dear Jesse, Hey Baby,

It's late Saturday night. I couldn't wait to get home and write you a letter. I left for a fishing trip Wednesday. I hope by now you have had time to think about the exchange of text earlier the week. The only thing I know to do at this point is pray. I sent you and Bekah a prayer on her yahoo. I hope you read it. I know you are hurt, love. So, am I. The point is... we must get past all the past and live for today and hopefully tomorrow. there's a country song wi… Continue

Equipping myself

Having the right equipment is essential whether you are fishing or fighting abuse.Your choice of tools can enhance your chances of winning the war on women and children. The battles they face can go on for years and years. Writing this blog is one of the tools I use for both fishing and growing to the woman I see in my eyes, not a victim, not a survivor, but a warrior. I believe the two, fishing and ceasing my life of violence enhance one another.

Goodbye/Hello

Goodbye.
I'm moving on down the road. I'm not rejecting my past, just saying goodbye to letting the past invade my future life... This isn't where my road ends....Roll on. Everything is beautiful in it's own time.

Hello
It's a big world. Life is a treasure map that will take me to who knows where.

Goodbye
It's a pretty good SIGN when you can goodbye...:

Kren!! yes I do understand How I do telling it from the inside out YES! It helps the healing process coming out and admitting the issues I think it helps cause it hurts a lot keeping it inside! I was told I couldn't do anything by myself right, I could never do that I can't do that, I was a stupid C***! Not at the begginning .. then I was told at times I was fat, and dumb and lazy and stupid! Some things I have a hard time understanding and was asking for help and he would get nasty and sarcastic aboout and put me down about not knowing something or making a mistake I still suffer and have bouts of self doubt! I am trying to tent camping on my own again to local places and sometimes I sweat feeling and hearing his voice You'll never do that You can't do that you'll never survive on yoour own or do that by yourself!!! It stays with you!!!!!! Inside the battle rages!
