This week was very painful and emotionally charged.

A few weeks ago a Mom at church told me her daughter tried to commit sucicide and was in the hospital. This broke my heart as in the 17 years as I volunteered with the RCMP Victim Services I dealt with too many families related to a child or family member's suicide.

I nearly accidentally stumbled upon this radio show segment and cannot begin to express how meaningful the words I heard have become to me. PTSD, is a very real thing to the loved ones of the missing and targets of abuse, not an incredible amount of people really understand what it's like to live a life with PTSD. (PTSD = Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

I feel that there isn't enough attention brought to the missing.  It seems as though soon after the child/adult becomes missing that you don't hear about them anymore.  Something more should be done but I don't know how to do it or where I would start.  Any suggestions?

Wow this is insane. I was just informed my oldest sister is missing in the Midland Texas area. Apparently BCA of the Permian Basin staff drove her to the hospital and dropped her off sometime last night. She never checked in to the hospital and apparently never made it back to the BCA although she called her husband later in the night saying she was at BCA and needed him to bring her her belongings because she was going to transfer to MHMR.  He filed a missing person's report and amazingly…
