I had a very close friend in school.. we met in middle school and well sparks flew... lol! Sparks flew a little more for him than me for several years however we did go out, off and on.. I knew he was crazy about me and most of the time he drove me nuts.. I sometimes wondered if he would ever get out of my life. Then of course came 8th grade for me and he became a freshman so I didn't see him for a year. I was suprised how I had actually missed him. When I got into high school it was on and off…

My Father was said to have passed away in his apartment December 10, 2001 in an apartment fire.. Yes he was very ill, I was actually planning to get him two days after his "passing" to bring him to live with me so I could care for him and nurse him back to health as I had done when I was a teen..
No one had officially identifiied his body, there are alot of conflicty stories so I started to do some research, Ofcourse I do not want to believe my Father is deceased, but I also do not believe…

This is a very sad story/case; one that has touched my heart since I started looking for Lorne.
I have always wanted to do something for this Little Guy, but what could I do? I never lived in PA, let alone back in 1957.
I met a wonderful woman on MySpace who dedicated a page to this Little Guy and we started writing back and forth. Well, I asked Nancy how and what she thought of us doing a vigil for him on the anniversary of his discovery?
Well, we contacted the…

I have been told by my therapist and psychologist to avoid Missing Person events, websites, stories, etc.; do not watch the news because stories appear there as well...... I haven't "healed" from what has happened to Lorne yet.
"HEALED from what has happened to Lorne!"????
Do they really think that there is a healing process?
For 4 years, 8 months, and 17 days ~ I searched the faces of passer by's looking for familiar traits, I searched the faces of the homeless…

I am writing this to all the women who are somewhat lonely and need to try and find that ideal partner to share their life. They always say that life begins at 40, but that is not always the truth. For me it began at 50 and has been getting even better as the years now pass.
I was born in NC in the US in August of 1951. I had an awful childhood. My mother and dad divorced when I was 10 months old. I am the youngest of 3, my brother is 4 years older…

Best intentions aside, recent studies have shown that online petitions actually aren't all that productive. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.asp Yet, all hope is not lost. Project Jason has a wonderful task for all of us, to help implement an essential bill to aid many loved one's missing persons. And with the way they have it set-up, it's just as easy as signing an online petition, yet the impact is far… Continue

This is probably quite a controversial question. After all, most of us in here have lost our loved one without our consent, Where as someone who adopted out their child, signed a paper. They gave permission to allow someone else to raise this child. It is an issue I have grappled with for quite some time. How DARE a person who adopted their child out compare their situation to mine.
Yet as I read the below post, written by a friend of mine, I question my perhaps too harsh…

This is something I wrote many years ago. I posted it once on myspace, but for some reason, I feel it close to my heart tonight. Maybe its the fact that I actually saw the end of the rainbow during a storm tonight? (I don't think I've actually ever witnessed that before, btw) Who knows....

Today I read that there currently are 100,000 youth offenders locked in our adult prison system serving life sentences with No possibility of ever being paroled. Isn't that the saddest thing you can imagine? A child's life gone before age 18 after so many fought to save him while he was yet unborn. Why would we defend two such conflicting issues? If we are going to abandon them so young, why did we insist they be brought into the world in the first place?
