An anniversary of your missing loved one - what do you do?

We will be going on 5 years of not knowing where our father is, what happened to him or why he is gone. I had hoped this day would never come. (I remember, like it was yesterday, meeting Kelly Jolkowski-she was approaching her 5 yrs of not knowing-and thinking, oh God please don't let it be so long for us-how do you go on for that long) So much has happened; I have so much to tell him. When he was just a phone call away or a 2 hr. airplane ride… Continue

My story of DV this is horrible so be careful

My story starts around 1995. When Johnny and I were married in 1989 I knew he had drinking problem. On our honeymoon he decided to go in to the pool clothes and all, and when we got back to our room we had a fight and he threw his wallet at me and hit me in the head. I should have left when he past out and went home and left him at the beach but I did not. I thought that I could change him.

Well for several years nothing happened because we had his father that was in a hospital bed and I… Continue

I have a friend who is an elementary school teacher. She asked me if i could visit her classroom and speak to the children (and their parents) about how to protect themselves from beeing abducted by strangers or known people, or from being otherwise hurt. Dessimination of Information Is Critical

To say the least we know how frustrating it is to try to offer law enforcement information that might lead to the whereabouts of a missing person.

Successful dessimination of information is critical and key yo a successfu; search. Keeping the channels of communication open is a must.

It isn't easy to approach law enforcement with information.

The channels are often cold and the response is shallow.

Equipping myself

Having the right equipment is essential whether you are fishing or fighting abuse.Your choice of tools can enhance your chances of winning the war on women and children. The battles they face can go on for years and years. Writing this blog is one of the tools I use for both fishing and growing to the woman I see in my eyes, not a victim, not a survivor, but a warrior. I believe the two, fishing and ceasing my life of violence enhance one another.

l can't live in my yesterday's. I… Continue
