In case there are any of you interested. Silent Ministries Recovery Outreach was blessed this October 10, 2010 to recover and reunite our 100th family in 30 years with the recovery of a Jacksonville 15 year old. We are thankful for God's help and hope to return others home and help them work out their issues.
We are reaching out to truckers. We know what life on the road is like. We are reaching out to truckers to provide help, support, prayers, and ministry to them and their…

Of All The Journeys in Life..I Didn't Know That Cervical Cancer Would Be One
My life has taken many different, unique, exciting, happy, bittersweet, enjoyable and sad turns.....As I sit here tonight and reflect on the oh so many changes....Some out of my control and some in my control....I take a deep breath and say WOW....I have only lived this life for 34 years now and what a journey it has been so far..Lost my mother to murder. Over came a drug and alcohol…

It Does Not Belong To Me
A poem I wrote and have to re-read from time to time just so I do not stray and think it's mine to fix. I find this O so hard to do and live, after leaving my concerns at Jesus feet, I take it back and want to do it all. For all of you I pray that you also will know deep in your heart that Jesus did it all and it's not mine to fix. YES, He does ask us to GO and Touch those who hurt and need you. We are called to be His messengers on earth to bring the good news. He was born to YOU and ME,…

Christina Quinton had a brain storm...
Has anyone ever been audited? It is such a pain! lol Well i am in the process and some of the things i am required to send is copy's of my childrens birth certificates to prove they are mine. Some other things are divorce decrees and copy of bills that i been paying for the year 2009 etc. (to prove im head of household) Anyways i was wondering if the non custodial parents who kidnap their children try to claim them on their tax return and if so could that be a way to possibly track them…

The Miracle Of Jesus’ Love: A message of hope for the lonely and grieving at Christmas
The holidays can be bittersweet, even excruciating, for those who find themselves single, alone, deployed in the military; longing for love and family, or for those who have lost someone close to them through death. In the case of the latter, be it recent or many years ago, Christmas has a way of re-opening the deep wounds of loss. But, no matter the circumstance, there’s something indescribably special about Christmas.
Let’s take a look at why we love Christmas so much and why…

Christina Quinton's blog on "Earthly Remains" found case closed?
I think the only way a family member can find ways to cope is relating to people who have been through the same thing they are going through. Some experiences are just inexplainable. You just have to know what it feels like plain and simple. But should the case be closed? Hmmm, lets look at it this way: Anybody ever go crazy looking for misplaced keys? Even if you decide to have a new set made you will still go nuts trying to figure out how you lost the…

Remains found. Case closed? Think again.
It is a horrible thought that LE would keep families in the dark about any scenario regarding their missing or recovered loved one. We have been in the dark for a long time, feeling alone, abandoned and taking on the role of detective. No matter who is on the case, LE, missing person orgs or SAR, there is still an overwhelming feeling of fear and helplessness. All you have is hope. Never peace of mind.
What is actually happening to put all the pieces together, close all the…

Remains found. Case closed?
You guys are so awesome. Are you sure you are not professional counselors? God never fails to use just the right people at just the right time for whatever your needs. There is no one better to talk to than someone who has been there. Thank you for your comments.
I feel very comfortable in this forum and believe that it is safe to open up here. The last thing I want is for my family to be exposed to what could be shocking news in a setting like Facebook or some other very common…

Remains recovered. Case closed?
There is not a POMC chapter in the Nashville area. I cannot find a group that focuses on murdered loved ones. Although The Compassionate Friends is an awesome support group, we need something more dedicated to the topic, does not require political correctness about spiritual things, and has more events we can participate in. I agree that common, even spiritual, grief support does no good in our situation. We have tried them all and still feel lost in our grief.
You hit the…

Remains Recovered; Case closed? Think again. Emotional Support and Ideas Needed!
This is a very hard blog for me to write. It may be a very hard blog for some to read. It will be another reason why no one should ever use the word closure. And, it will be all about why law enforcement, real missing person organizations and professional advocates should be trained on the emotional upheaval that happens to the families of the missing when their loved one is recovered. Their stories do not end on an answer and the support needed is as much needed after the answer as it was…
