"If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man's life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow September 20th 2009, Sigourney turned 18 years of age – 6.574 days old. Sigourney may not know her real name, her real birthday or the truth about her life, but it’s a fact – today is her birthday. I can remember that day so vividly - September 20, 1991. What a year: The USA unleashes unreasonable force against a former brother-… Continue

Joe Chsiholm The Catharsis of Poetry

I am really a song writer, not a poet. But here are a few efforts I have created that deal with struggle and searching. A House is on Fire was recorded and can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/chroniclesrock Running in the Rain I jammed out in Toronto with three other musicians who never heard the song but it gives you a vague idea of where the song is going. Follow with the words because the sound isn't great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcqZdd1Gdec RUNNING IN THE RAIN by Joe Chisholm a… Continue

Jesse 'Opie' Ross missing/gone

People often speak to us about the difference in having someone missing and knowing what happened to your loved one. I don't think there is a pleasant choice here. Speaking for the missing side, Nothing so far has been so sad and tragic as that first day we realized Jesse was missing. Now I think about the possibility that someday I will have to tell Donna and Andy that Jesse won't be coming home. I hope I get the call, then I can prepare them. This is what haunts my days now thinking of this d… Continue

Christmas memories O ne of my fondest Christmas memories as a boy was going to the Orpheum theatre in Wichita with my dad to see Santa. We also saw Tex Ritter (the late father of the late John Ritter of Three’s a Company fame). Tex was one of the early singing cowboys, like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. We received Christmas stockings and the flavor of peppermint candy cane and cream filled chocolate has stayed with me to this very day. With my own family I remember it was Jesse’s job early on to… Continue

Yes. I'm very excited over this new cold case unit too. I hope justice is served and her mom, sister and family can have peace with justice. I cannot imagine the pain of not knowing. My prayers to them, always.
