I can't even begin to estimate the number of articles I have read online about missing person cases. It's the first thing I do when I fire the computer up every morning and usually the last thing I read before I call it a night.

Today I found out that murder charges were filed against a man in the death of his girlfriend.
I know it's a story that we all hear, over and over and over. But this one hit close to home, again.
This case involves the daughter of a woman I had the privilege of meeting almost three years ago. I was reporting for a newspaper and I had to write the story about the disappearance of a young mother. Again, a story we are all too familiar with.
