Ash Wednesday is today. For Christians around the world it is the beginning of Lent. A somber time as we await the holiest day of the year, Easter Sunday.

I write this blog after returning from Ash Wednesday Mass as I sit here with the mark of the ashes on my forehead quietly reflecting.
