10 + years!
It's been a long haul in the search for my 2 sons.
Here is an edited copy of something I wrote on a discussion board...
What happens when an abducted child ages up and becomes and adult? Do they return to the other parent? Are they notified that the other parent has been searching for them? Do they even know they have another parent or other family?
The answer is as individual as the children involved

So much has been going on the last few months, that I haven't had much comp time.
I've finally met one of my 2 sons...after a 10 year search. He even spent a week visiting here. It was quite strange, but a blessing! I had a great time, and look forward to getting to know even more about the young man, who was once my little twerp!
Unfortunately, it might be years before I ever have the chance to talk to my other son...
I prefer to not talk much more of it online here...
but PLEASE DONT EVER TE…

I want to talk about a woman named Doris Hill. Well, that
was her name 50+ years ago,
before she was sold through an illegal adoption ring!
Birth Records for Doris, as well as her 4 siblings, were unlawfully destroyed, in order to cover…

For me, it took over ten years, to finally make contact with one of my 2 sons. I can't even begin to describe how it feels! So, I can just imagine how Mark and Debbie Baskin are taking it all in!
I'd heard of the Baskin Children throughout myspace, NCMEC, and various other sites dedicated to missing children and persons ... now, 20 years later, they've been found!!!
I've come across the great news this morning, and need to share!
Christie and Bobby Baskin were renamed Jennifer and J

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The family of a woman who disappeared six years ago wants to be sure others don't experience their pain. Alice Donovan was kidnapped from the Wal-Mart parking lot in Conway on November 14, 2002. Saturday night, her daughters held a benefit in her honor. Money raised at the benefit was donated to the Community United Effort Center for Missing Pers…

The sad, abbreviated life of Kyle Smith was, in fact, filled with a number of disconnects and what-if’s that neighbors, relatives, child-welfare advocates and city officials have retraced again and again since his death the morning of June 6. One of the most disturbing elements of the case to surface is that Ms. Cheatham’s own children, then ages 3 to 11, were remove

Up until last night, I'd never heard the name Rilya Wilson. Rilya's name came up while I attended the blogtalk show,

I know...WHY do I have this poster on a PEACE 4 the Missing site???
Well, I kind of figure that awareness of who the police deem worthy of being on the Top 10 is a good thing to post!
What if everyone of us here on Peace 4 posted the Top 10 from the state they reside, on their blog?

This is probably quite a controversial question. After all, most of us in here have lost our loved one without our consent, Where as someone who adopted out their child, signed a paper. They gave permission to allow someone else to raise this child. It is an issue I have grappled with for quite some time. How DARE a person who adopted their child out compare their situation to mine.
Yet as I read the below post, written by a friend of mine, I question my perhaps too harsh judgements...

This is something I wrote many years ago. I posted it once on myspace, but for some reason, I feel it close to my heart tonight. Maybe its the fact that I actually saw the end of the rainbow during a storm tonight? (I don't think I've actually ever witnessed that before, btw) Who knows....

I appreciate all of your support on this...I still find myself slightly surprised at the compassion, concern, and over all warmth that's felt here on Peace4.
I plan to continue with this blog thing...at least for now, although to be honest I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with it all...or when I might just stop.
Do any of you know how to get a scanned document (or 2) from my comp to this blog? I tried a few times earlier, but didn't quite figure how to go about it.
