"Candle For A Cause" LostNMissing Campaign

Along with the candle you will receive a photograph banner of one specific missing loved person that you can "adopt" in your thoughts. There will be no duplication of adopted missing loved ones. The person assigned to you will be a missing loved one and you will be notified once they have been located. The information presented to you, regarding your assigned missing loved one, will be information that is only made public by the media through law enforcement. No confidential information will be shared. We are a strong believer that the more attention for a missing loved one, and prayers, the more hopeful recognition can be made.

Cyndi,

I didn't think you would charge the families....just wanted to make sure everyone else realized that too! :)

Our services for families of the missing are never charged nor would we ever ask for a donation from any family member who has a missing loved one.

However, if a family member wishes to purchase a product that will be part of our "product campaigns",from time to time, that is different as it is a product sale...and the money is 100% going back into the organization.

Soon we are going to be providing preventative and safety products and that will also fall into the same category as "product sales" and is open for purchase by anyone. Hope this answers your question. We do not charge families for our services, nor do we ask family members for donations. Hugs, Cyn

Cyndi,

This is a great idea to bring awareness and fund your non profit and remind people to pray for the missing. Good thinking, great marketing!

It wasn't stated but I'm sure you are not asking the families of the missing to donate (unless they want to!). Reminder to families of the missing: Ethical organizations never ask the families for money. Sometimes though the organizations forget to mention that when they have a donation campaign going on. That doesn't mean you can't donate but many organizations will not accept your money even if you do but that is a call by individual organizations. I, myself think that if a family wants to donate that is their choice as long as they were not solicited to donate. But, I can see how many of the good organizations have that policy as they have to be fair to all the families they are helping and not promote one family over another because of the size of their donation.

Thanks Cyndi for all you are doing!
