CHILDREN MISSING PARENTS MISSING CHILDREN

Today I read that there currently are 100,000 youth offenders locked in our adult prison system serving life sentences with No possibility of ever being paroled. Isn't that the saddest thing you can imagine? A child's life gone before age 18 after so many fought to save him while he was yet unborn. Why would we defend two such conflicting issues? If we are going to abandon them so young, why did we insist they be brought into the world in the first place?

Kay, you bring to the table a very conflicting subject! On the one hand I would like to think that all mothers loved their children and did the very best for them when they were raised. Of course, that would be in a perfect world!

On the other hand, there are some cases of parents doing all the right things and a child who is just not able to follow. It is something that I just don't understand.

When I hear someone talking strongly against abortion, I always ask, "What are your views on the death penalty?" Almost all the time they will express favor for state killing. Then I express my surprise. "Oh, I see....you aren't pro-life, you are only pro-birth."
