For those who have the time and drive to help spread the word about NamUs I would like to tell you what we are doing.

We went to http://www.usacops.com/mi/ and are now sending a copy of the "about NamUs" page to every Police Department, Fire Department, Coronor and Ambulance Service in Michigan. Yes, that is alot of paper, work and mail, however, we strongly feel it is worth every second and every penny. Naturally, this is an over a perriod of time project. Below is a break down of our plans to sucessfully complete this project.

Phase 1: We will contact every Sheriff Department in Michigan

Phase 2: We will contact every Police, Fire and Ambulance Service in our County and all Counties bordering ours.

Phase 3: We will contact every agency with an open missing person case. In addition to mailing to NamUs page, we will also send the missing person information the respective department is handling.

Phase 4: We will contact every LE Department not included in phase 1-3

Phase 5: We will contact every ME and Coronor in Michigan

Phase 6: We will contact every Fire Department in Michigan

Phase7: We will contact every Ambulance Service in Michigan

The order of Phases may change but they will all be completed. Phase 1 and 2 are mostly completed and will be fully completed no tommorrow.

If you have any questions please let me know.

If only EVERYONE would work together and all use one central database...it's there...people will help input the info. - I guess I'll just start praying...frustrated by the stonewalling...

I have contacted both Los Angles Police Department and California Justice Department in regard to my missing daughter, Donna Jou’s DNA to be send to University of Northern Texas, CODES database/Mr. George Adams’s Laboratory.
I have spoken to Mr. Adams several times to verify if Donna’s DNA made it to database, but unfortunately the answer was no.
I don’t know what else to do to get her DNA to both CODES and NAMUS. I am frustrated.

Bravo!!! I know many are working dillegently and for the best of reasons! And great questions TOM!
People, the public get confused by acronyms and the questions he was asking are exactly what many ask why two or more groups what is the differnce, how does the public get to be educated and open house days? How about getting STATE to state coordinators central points for getting this info out congrats pn all the hard work in Michigan BUT there are many others who need the education too and it sure feels like COnnecticut is ONe of them! JAn and friends trying to get Missing persons BILL passed so it happens every year thought it would be after last years green presentation but suprisingly somehow it hasn't?????? Can't figure out the confusion or delays in this state just can't figure it out!!!!!! Thought the governor cared about the people and families??????
What am I missing???? You can always I would invite others to participate display, put on demonstrations too like REALY for Life cancer representatives, Disabled handicapped reps. Disabled veterans reps (They go missing too!) Coast Guard representatives,Search and rescue dogs/handlers, comfort and assistance dogs,Fire depaartments, Alzheimers reps Abused womens groups and advocacy for N ON violence groups , DEA reps This would open the spectrum a bit and possibily get the word out more and possibly bring in a bigger offering and bigger attendance......
Joint ventures joint partnerships!!! Especially today with tough economy!
