I am Divorced
I just wanted to share this with all of you initially here, because whether you knew it or not you have been such a positive part of my path towards new beginnings and healing.
It would be near impossible to describe the relief and extensive amount of weight that I feel has been lifted.
And while "on paper" I did not come out ahead, I know and see how God has both protected and carried my girls and I throughout this journey...which has always been our prayer...and now it has truly been answered...and I feel finally free.

I know a day like this is bittersweet. We always want our marriages to work out and live "happily ever after," but it's not always to be.
I'm just so relieved that at least on paper you and the girls are protected. I know, like the wings of a butterfly, you will regain your colors and soar!

I dont know much about your situation even how old your girls are. I am sorry I have not been very involved! I am however divorced. Due to a time in my life where I was not making good choices I married a man who was not equipped to be a husband and a dad! I divorced him and then throughout my son's lives we both made our own choices. All I can say is like Delilah said it is bittersweet! But making a healthy decision no matter how hard it may have been is what has allowed you to now feel free! Free of the burden of trying to make something work that was not meant to be! That is the freedom that I got in my divorce! I am not sure what yours is but I am glad that you have that in your life now! I have been divorced now for 26 years and I never regretted my decision! I hope for you the same! Much love and support for your life to continue to allow you the freedom that you feel now!

Thanks all of my sweet blessings.
To be honest, I had no feelings of bittersweet emotions regarding the vaporization (as I like to call it, ;) of my marriage, just freedom...no one deserves to be abused, no one should condone abuse to their children, although the roads ahead may require much strength, perseverance and hardship this is a small price to pay for freedom and a healthy, safe future.
I prayed so much, as I know many of you did as well...and truly without a doubt, God made it known that I was held.
And yes, John Quinn...I will marry you... ;)

God Bless you as you begin this new journey. You are such a blessing to so very many people....a treasure for sure. Your girls are blessed to have you. Life is full of pain and heartache and suffering....but God is unchangingly GOOD. Continued prayers for all of you. Hugs to you.
