My mom's remains have been located
Bones were found scattered in Death Valley in March of 2008 and were just positively identified as belonging to my Mom Catherine Lique. I don't have very much information right now but I wanted you guys to know. You have all been so wonderful and supportive. its not the outcome I wanted but it is definitely a relief to know something. I am still in shock right now.

For years you went through emotions that have no name, no label. Now your emotion has a name...grief. Don't let anyone tell you there are steps to grief as there are not. Everyone handles grief differently, you know yourself and if you have the slightest feeling that your grief is taking you to areas you don't want to be then seek help. Grief lasts a lifetime that's because your love for your Mom lasts a lifetime and beyond into eternity. The levels or intensity of the grief will ebb and flow like the ocean .... that's just love and memories and that's normal.

Thank you so mmuch. It has been very weird. I honestly didn't expect it to hurt so bad since I had so much time to get used to it, you know. I mean I always knew she would have never ever walked away from us like that. But it still feels like it just happened yesterday and I had no time to prepare. Its awful. I love you guys so much. This site is a godsend.

Know we are all here for you and we love you.It is a very trumatic time you're going through.I have been through the death of my beloved wife but nothing like you're going through.While part of you might be relieved to at least know what happened to your mom..The grief of losing her is very real and powerful.We will help you in whatever way we can..we are family!!
