** BILLY'S LAW **

NEW PLAN OF ACTION EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

As you all know this Bill is in the Senate at this time and must follow the same exact procedure as it did in the house, and that is to first be voted on by the Judiciary committee and then on to the floor of the Senate.

This will be done in two stages working simultaneously listed below.

1. THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE

This is for people who live in a state with a member of the Senate in the Judiciary Committee. You will be doing the exact same thing as you have and that is emailing the members of the Committee to co sponsor this Bill, the only difference is You will be emailing the members of the committee in YOUR state only.

Remember this is the next step in the political process and a VERY IMPORTANT ONE. For anyone who live in a state with a committee member this must be passed on to the people in your state Either through Social media, conversation, anyway that you see fit, but this message has to be spread so others may become part of the political process to get this Bill by the Committee.

IF IT DOES NOT GET BY THE COMMITTEE IT DIES HERE.

NOTE: Senator Coburn of Oklahoma and Senator Sessions of Alabama both who are on the Judiciary Committee have issues with this Bill because of the Goverment spending. Remember the way we get them to change there minds is through your emails. Being negative right now will only hurt not help.

2. ALL NON COMMITTEE US SENATORS

Remember there are 100 US Senators and only 19 are on the Judiciary Committee. For anyone who lives in a state that does not have there Senator on the Judiciary Committee you will contacting Senators in your own state ONLY, and asking them to co sponsor Billy's Law S3019. This will be done the way it has in the past either through email, writing letters, or phone. Also if your a family member of a missing loved please briefly tell your story.

BILLY'S LAW - THE HELP FIND THE MISSING ACT
S. 3019 **BILLY'S LAW** would authorize funding for, and increase accessibility to, (NamUs.Gov) the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, to facilitate data sharing between such system and the National Crime Information Center database of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, to provide incentive grants to help facilitate reporting to such systems.

Remember if this Bill does not make it through there will not be another one like it, and this is the only way to make a difference and achieve hope for the families.

Time to update the page to reflect the 112th Congress and the status of the current pair of Bills. The current Bills are both in the Judiciary Committee. One suggestion on effective grassroots advocacy is to write a letter, sign it with blue ink, and send it to the Senate and House Judiciary Committee Members. It does not matter whether Committee Members are your direct representatives. It does create a different tally when you place a telephone call or write a personal letter. E-mails are not viewed by staffers or national grassroots trainers as having the same weight. Perhaps you could draft a .pdf that could be printed out and signed by people on this site. Mailing addresses are easily compiled from www.house.gov www.senate.gov and added to the .pdf document. Just jumping in to revive the conversation on the pending legislation. I'll be sending a set of letters + placing telephone calls to all Members in the coming week. I think it's a great idea.

Since Billy's Law (HR3695) has been passed by the House of Representatives, it has now moved to the Senate (S.3019).  I have emailed President Obama, Senator Kohl and Senator Feingold of Wisconsin, urging all of them to support this bill which is extremely important to law enforcement and the families of the missing.

Great Info as always!!! FYI Info change.org website has good info on Human trafficking I tried to forward just the human trafficking articles but haven't been sucessful so far I did email jan Smolinski the site info with all the articles EGG Nightmare, human trafficking etc...
Also FYI BIG FYI Apparently Senator Coburn from OKLAHOMA also vetoed went againt the FOOD SAFETY BILL for the MONEY STANCE again for someone who is in a PUBLIC Office and responsibile for taking care of the PUBLICS best Interests and is a DOCTOR he certainly doesn't seem to be INTERESTED in OUR BEST Interests, safety and well being!! Food safety is another BIG SAFETY and well being issue and growing rapidly for EVERYONE in this country PLUS!`
