I finally quit smoking as of last night.I was getting tired of my sister's and Dr.s giving me a hard time over my smoking.I don't know how long I'll last..I never went over 4 days but I'm going to try even if it's really my only vice and I actually enjoy smoking.My cousin Liz and I did it together..we both have bad hearts.

John, we'll do it together...I'm quitting tonight through group hypnosis. Buy a nail file...when you feel like hurting yourself because you think you can't take it anymore...at least you'll be able to do something that won't hurt you :) Me in CT - marching to the beat of a different drum :)

Whoa John, I am impressed! I quit several yrs ago but can not get my husband to quit.

I so don't want to be a nag. He does all the tricks, mouthwash in the car door, like I don't know! I quit and it took a few yrs but once it stuck it worked. I wish he'd quit, his Dad died of lung cancer.

Hey guys..I looked at the site breifly but saw that you only gain 2 days of life per year.If you quit for 15 yrs..that's only a month of life saved..and for what?? A month of life isn't anything special (for me)to rave about and go through this.Especially when I want to go as soon as GOD lets me...love..john

I wish you all the luck in the world on quitting smoking, John. My husband has tried to quit for over 20 years and wants to so badly, but he just can't. He keeps trying to quit and I always tell him "don't quit quitting" . . . so he tries again another time. One day, he too, will quit. Again, GOOD LUCK in staying quit!!! Glendene.

John, the site is cool. You enter the information and it will give you daily statistics. It will even tell you how much time on your life you have saved on a daily basis. It really is fun to watch the numbers and it motivates you to not go back. Now...here's the scoop. I am a smoker. I used this program three years ago and stayed off smoking for a year and a half and dumb me went back because I figured I could "lose weight" and because I was doing so much travel and driving, it was like "company". Well...I'm tired of it. My son is 14 and is absolutely appalled that I went back and while I try to hide it from him....he knows. I want to do this too. I have promised myself that when I wake up on Saturday morning (as my supply will be gone.)....I will enter day one. Here's the deal. I'll help you...you help me. How about each day, starting SUNDAY, MAY 24th we begin posting our stats here that we get from that weblink? Deal? Would anyone else like to join this club? If so.;....raise your hand!!!
