Stop Looking the Other Way...There is a Murderer Among Us - Who Killed Renee?!

RENEE PAGELMURDERED8.5.06Rockford,Michigan
Renee was stabbed to death in her own home at 9050 13 Mile Road, while recovering from donating a kidney to the father of one of her students...just days before her divorce was to be finalized. She was a mother of three young children; a nurse and teacher; and had a passion for third world medical missions. Her estranged husband, Michael Pagel, is the ONLY person who has not voluntarily cooperated with police, nor has he provided an alibi to police for the night of Renee's murder. He retains custody of the couple's children, and remains the ONLY suspect in this case. Click here for more information on The ONLY Suspect
Renee's estranged husband, Michael Pagel, remains the ONLY suspect in Renee's murder.

Renee's husband, Michael Pagel, is the only person who has not voluntarily interviewed with police and has not provided an alibi to police for the night Renee was murdered. He has custody of the couple's three children. He has recently moved them from his sister's house in Hudsonville, to live in a private hunting compound (Mid Forest Lodge) in Prudenville, Michigan, near Houghton Lake.

I am so thankful to be a part of this support network. Since Renee was murdered, I have come to know several others in my area who have lost loved ones--mostly children--to murder. The support that you receive from these other survivors is priceless.....people who "get it". I have had so many people along this journey tell me to "just let the police handle it", to "not put my family in harm's way"; people who've told me I'm "stuck", or that I might "offend others". I've learned that it's not about being comfortable, but about being obedient. Very early on, after Renee was murdered, and I had a burning desire to FIGHT, because I KNEW what had happened to her, I prayed....and God told me--5 times-- to "persevere". Months later, He gave me my marching orders....within 5 minutes of coming before Him to ask if I was to continue on in this fight. He said in Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice." I believe that God is good and He is faithful. He has brought me into contact with some of the most incredibly courageous people I have ever met in my life...He will use "all things for His good" as He says in Romans 8:28. He has made "connections" all along the way in this fight....connections for me that have led me along a path like bread crumbs from Heaven.

There is so much pain. Each story represented on this site is heart-breaking. Again, I'm glad to be a part of this network of people....to support one another, to love one another, to be voices for those who no longer have a voice, and to ensure justice. God Bless each of you....and thank you to those who have taken the time to comment on Renee's story. I am thankful to Sara and Delilah for this beautiful website, and for their passion and commitment to helping others.

HUGS...I'm into group hugs and wish we could all have a hug together...

Reza....we love you! You are going to make so many changes in the justice system simply because you love your daughter so much. You are going to extend your hand out to help so many people along the way that suffer because of the justice system and try and set things right for them....amazing that you are!

I think if everyone were pointing fingers at me I'd be doing everything to clear my name: providing alibi, volunteering to take a lie detector test, anything to prove innocence. So why isn't this guy
doing that? Why is he not out there looking for the killer of his
children's mother? How are his children going to feel someday when they
realize their Dad did nothing to help solve this?

Awesome point, Maureen...b/c regardless even of everything else...his actions are no doubt SCREAMING at these kids that...

"YOUR MOM DIDN'T MATTER! That 50% part of you of your Mom is nothing...you are only "half loved"..."

Reza Jou, I know that you physically feel this pain...my heart and passion is so with you and your family as well...

Just look at these two women, Donna Jou and Renee Pagel, both not just "really good" people, but rather truly, undoubtedly, BEYOND INCREDIBLE SHINING LIGHTS...both so committed to and actively involved in helping so very many others!

And for their lives to not be treated with the very utmost dignity and respect?!

We cannot just sit back and watch this happen, right?

I wish more here on Peace4 would comment...it's is essentially vital that we all show our support to one another...

I am so sorry for all of your pain...I know I say that often, but I truly am...

Christine, I adore you back and Prov. 31:8-9...such a message from God! Thanks so much for sharing...xoxoxo

Sara, thank you so much for posting all of this....you are such an inspiration....an advocate. I read the little box on your FB page....you live that out so beautifully. That and Prov. 31:8-9.

One thing I didn't share with you was one of the last comments Renee made to a friend just hours before he killed her. She said "I can't let that bastard kill me.....I can't let him have the kids."

I adore you so much!
