I so remember reading this story a few months ago.....I'd say you have a good memory or a good secretary (grin). Surprising that they ( the BDN) would run another story of a similar nature so soon..
And, boy, do we have miles of open land here. It would be hard to do a really good seach in this wilderness. The COUNTY I live in is as big as Conn. and Rhode Island with a population of 17,000!!!!!!!!

Bangor Daily News ( Maine) will be here on Tuesday, Nov.17,2009 to interview me concerning Frederick Andrew Holmes, my missing baby brother from 1955.The reporter also advises that she will be bringing a photographer. I was wondering if they wished to speak with you how would they make contact with you? I was pleased with the article in the Middletown (NY) newspaper and hope that the Bangor Daily News will also do a nice piece. I know Freddie went missing in NY, but since I now live in Maine, it is still a human interest story. And, exposure for any and all of the missing is a good thing!

Just wanted to let you know that I heard tonight that 'The Middletown Times Herald Record" in Middletown, New York will publish the story of my 22 month old toddler brother, Frederick Andrew Holmes, on Sunday, Nov.8,2009. Freddie went missing on May 25, 1955 from our home in Grahamsville, Sullivan County, N.Y.
I have not seen the story either, so I hope it is informative. The THR reporter did advise me that he spoke with the Town Historian who actually did remember the sad event and all the searching that went on in and around our home for weeks.

like in the 1940's nobody knows who he really was this guy that claimed to be Joe Chandler was a electrical engineer also the real Joe
Chandler lived in a town not far from where Uncle John was from also Uncle John married a panananian woman and this other guy claiming to be joseph chandler told people he was married to a cuban woman I admit there is similarties also Uncle John was a civil engineer which consisted of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
The police at Childress, Texas basically told me they would file the missing person case but, would not make any efforts in trying to find him so basically it is in a cold case drawer. What is your take on this?

I went to NamUS website it was new for me thought this looks really great so I thought would check see if Uncle John name was placed into the system was not sure who put it there but, when it asks for DNA it said None and the FBI came out in 2005 got my mother's DNA so do I assume this is a error or do I get worried not sure what to do can you help?
