Jan, you make an excellent point that each case and each jurisdiction is so different. There are some law enforcement agencies that I have corresponded with that are so open and quick to give out the information that they can, and then others that won't even reply at all.

This video has great general tips that every family can use. And I would like to think that this is one area that Peace4 the Missing will step up to the plate and help bring awareness to all that we can.

Congratulations to Lisa's family my prayers go out to you and hope you get your answers soon. I can say it is a full time job trying to get the attention of the people who could help you the most. I have listened to many and they are not financially in a position to have a website, make flyers and everything that helps to get the attention of the public. Sometimes they don't have the family support it is so difficult or access to a computer.

In my sons case after missing over four years we are blessed to have the media attention and public recognition. It did not come easy there is not one day that goes by we cannot let up. Adult missing persons are forgotten except for a very few. We hung flyers on poles and it is errie seeing your childs picture on a telephone pole it seems like the twilight zone, but because of the lack of attention from the police in the beginning and our family begging for help led to my criminal arrest basically for hanging a flyer of my missing son on a public telephone pole.I was arrested because the police did not help us when we reported a woman, Billy's ex-girlfriend tearing down flyers of him. Why ? We don't know but we have it on video not only was she driving a car but also using a school bus to tear them down., Later my charges were dropped in Superior after being finger printed and mug shot .
Now we and a local journalist have a law suit from the very people we asked the police for help against. The reason for all this to scare us away and according to police difuse the situation. Could there be some corruption?
Each case is different sometimes it could become to dangerous because of the players involved, visiting the police regularly and letting them know you are not going to let up is so important, Asking questions about the police report and collection of DNA into the national database CODIS is very important.
Thank you for supplying the video it will be helpful to many. I wish we had something like this four years ago we fumbled through everything.

Everything on the video is excellent but families with missing loved ones need to take everything into consideration.

Thanks Maggie this is good info. I had one reporter tell me that they were not allowed to run a story without law enforcement's permission. I told him that was BAD JOURNALISM and went to his competitors. Don't let people tell you no!
